Slot Review: Trust Fund Baby
Unless you
were born with the proverbial silver spoon in your mouth, it’s
likely that you have spent your life gazing at the members of
upper-crust society with envy in your heart. What’s not to envy
about the rich? Their huge bank accounts, vast houses, multiple
cars, exclusive club memberships, and in-born privileges are the
stuff of dreams. Most of us have to keep our wishes for more money
squarely in the realm of those exact same dreams, but the Trust Fund
Baby online slot game gives us the chance at a little something
more. This game is a tribute to the difference between “one of us”
and “one of them,” with the opportunity to make you feel like you
have jumped categories for a little while! The characters depicted
on the reels are hilarious caricatures of the stereotype depicted in
the game’s title. These “trust fund babies” are utter perfection –
their ideal figures spray-tanned to an artificial golden glow, and
covered in designer clothes and diamonds. The progressive jackpot
offered as the grand prize in this game isn’t quite enough to make
you as rich as these guys, but it doesn’t matter – they’d probably
regard your gambling fortune as too nouveau riche for their tastes,
anyway. Forget them! This game is sheer entertainment, no matter
what the size of your bankroll might happen to be.
Trust Fund Baby comes to us from the lesser-known Wizard Gaming
online software firm, sporting five reels and twenty paylines of
internet casino action. The coin value is fixed at two cents, with
max coins of two hundred (ten coins per payline playable) making
fifty dollars the highest per-spin wager. The top prize is a
progressive jackpot that is modest in size, but not necessarily
anything to scoff at. Progressives make slot games interesting, in
our opinion – they are harder to win, but the promise of snatching a
prize away from everyone else in the WORLD is filled with
unmatchable excitement. A smaller progressive jackpot pays out more
often, so that is good news for the players of this particular
title. It’s the trade-off for a progressive that isn’t quite as
awe-inspiring in size as others out there.
The graphics are the strong point of this slot game, and are very
detailed and supportive of the overall theme of luxury. The titular
trust-fund babies - a square-jawed man with a preppy shirt and
Easter egg-colored sweater playing golf, and his sophisticated
blonde sister – appear on the reels. Their father is also there (a
clone of Playboy’s iconic and aging Hugh Hefner) along with a
private jet, a gem-encrusted cell phone, a bottle of champagne and a
Chihuahua dog in a purse like that carried by heiress Paris Hilton.
The butler, ironically enough, is the jackpot symbol that could land
you your very own riches. This was a smart little piece of irony on
the part of the game’s creators. You will undoubtedly have fun
playing in the shoes of these Trust Fund Babies for at least a
little while, and probably for much longer. This game is very
replayable, in our experience.
