Slot Review: Slotris
Who among us
hasn’t, at some point in their lives, wasted vital daytime hours
playing Tetris? The game, first introduced back in the 80s for the
8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (also known as: serious
old-school gaming), introduced global audiences to the great joys to
stacking funny-shaped blocks and organizing them into lines. For
those of us of a certain age – mostly members of Gen Y - Tetris was
the an essential and unforgettable part of our childhood. The
coolest thing ever back in those days was to whip out one’s
old-school Game Boy (you know – the huge, white kind) and play
Tetris while mom and dad did boring, adult things. Back then,
everything was in black and white and there weren’t any backlit
screens, but matching up those falling puzzle pieces was a huge,
major thrill. Thanks to Slotris, a fabulous online slot game from
the exceptional Slotland casino, all the fun of playing Tetris can
now be enjoyed by a new audience… those players of online pokies! We
love Slotland’s proprietary software, because their games look so
very different from those of their competitors. Plus, the gameplay
is inevitably great. The payouts are fat, and the progressive
jackpots are always a lot of fun. All things considered, we just
love Slotris!
Slotris features three reels and one payline, making it basically a
classic slot machine title Coin values start at fifty cents and
range upwards to five dollars, with a single coin playable at a
given time. That makes the highest per-spin wager one of just five
dollars! That’s a deal and a half, given the Slotland progressive
jackpot. This prize is HUGE, and routinely pays out six-figure
prizes. Given the fact that you need only bet five dollars a spin,
there is probably nowhere that you can have a real shot at so much
money for so little investment!
The coolest thing about Slotris is how closely it parallels the play
of Tetris, only in an online slot version. The game’s creators were
really very clever in how they married the two concepts to make
something very different and extraordinary. You have to clear ten
rows of blocks to win the Slotris progressive jackpot, which is nor
nearly as easy a feat as doing so on a video game console or on your
cell phone playing a mobile game. There is some aspect of skill
involved in this pokey, but it is still a slot machine – which means
that ultimately, you are in the hands of fate. The graphics of this
three-dimensional video slot machine title are exceptional, and
appear to a treasure chest locked by the reels, with a fat lever off
to the side just begging for a spin! And, while the ultimate prize
in any game of Tetris we’ve ever played was the bragging rights to
tell your friends that you’d attained the highest score EVER, you
can actually win a pile of money playing the Slotris game. That
really introduces a whole new and very rewarding aspect to the game!
